The objective of this is literature review that involved over 100 studies was to examine driving-related difficulties associated with ADHS, and to investigate whether drivers with ADHD have increased levels of unsafe driving. Results indicated that drivers with ADHD had different driving outcomes when compared to drivers without ADHD. Furthermore, while ADHD driver had different outcomes than non-ADHD drivers, not all drivers with ADHD were uniformly affected. Authors concluded that there is no single method that can be used to improve driving behaviour. However, results indicated that the pharmacological treatment of ADHD appeared to be beneficial to improve the driving difficulties experienced by drivers with ADHD.
